Seasonal Floral Designer

About the role

We’re seeking a floral designer to join our team for the spring (Feb-May) and Fall (Oct-December) wedding and event season. This includes:

• Designing & executing arrangements for weddings & events

• processing & conditioning flowers

• Assist with event set-up & breakdown as scheduled

• Interact professionally with clients & other wedding vendors as needed, representing the Florals By Kendra brand

• This role is structured as an independent contractor (1099). Must be responsible for their own taxes, insurance & related obligations

Location:

Floral Studio in Tempe for design work with additional travel for event set-ups and breakdowns

Pay:

$25-$35/hour based on experience

Schedule:

Approx 25-30 hours per week.

Wednesday-Friday for design work with flexible daily schedule

Saturdays for wedding day set-up (Specific dates shared upon hire)

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of floral design & event experience required

• knowledge of arrangement & installation designs & flower types

• excellent time management skills

• comfortable standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50lbs

• reliable, communicative and self-directed

• Preferred if experienced with large scale events & hanging installations, including working on a ladder
